This weekend will be the main holiday decorating event, but in the meantime, I thought I’d share with you a few vignettes I’ve thrown together…
I love Christmas and readily partake of the Christmas spirit, but I also like to keep things sweet and simple. I’m lucky enough to have a fir tree and a holly tree in my backyard, so I take advantage of these during the holidays by keeping things fairly natural. A few garlands, wreaths, bulbs, holly and fir stems, ribbon, and a couple of handmade pieces thrown in for good measure, and I’m golden!
How about you? Do you like splurging on the holiday decoration, or do you like to keep things simple?
ps….can’t wait to share the entertainment unit redo with you tomorrow!

I love the little birds you put in your wreaths. And a holly tree in your yard- so awesome!
Thanks Amber! I definitely went for a bird theme with my holiday decor this year. Perhaps I went a little overboard? Wait until you see my tree! 😉
BIRDS! I love it. It makes the decor feel more natural and quaint!
OMG, I LOVE every bit of it. I just came across your blog somehow and I LOVE your style. I’m trying to break away from all the dark brown and black I’ve used in my house and move onto lighter and brighter colors. Just love your decor!
Crystal, thank you! In my previous apartment, I went super modern and had a theme of black, white, and red. Needless to say, my style has definitely evolved! Will definitely check out your blog.
Oh and I have a blog too if you ever want to visite me there :). It’s http://www.wannabebalanced.com
love your white wreath with cardinals!
Thanks so much Cassie! So sorry for the delayed reply – I found you in my spam! Ps…I LOVE your Swedish red chair and so happy you are keeping it for yourself 🙂
